Febuary Update:

We will be updating  this site over the next few weeks. We have launched the first company.  It is call Heirloom Iron and they will have a separate page showing their new functional art.   There are two more companies that we think have enormous potential.

OrthoSystems has received an additional NIH  grant for 1.6 million dollars. The grant was awarded early for: Simple DNA/RNA probes for protein targets.

OrthoSystems previously has received more than 4 million dollars in grants and Pipesnapper has completed a series of patents and is seeking a small amount of startup money for production of the patented pipe welding tool that will reduce labor costs by 50%. They will manufacture and sell their new product out of Latham and East Greenbush New York.

We are working on a new home page that will go live in a few weeks.  We also have an aggressive fund raising activity and if you wish to help develop the Upstate NY economy, just send a check to Community Based Business Incubator at 136 Tallmadge Place, Albany NY 12208 and you  will receive a letter back from us documenting your tax deductable donation.  You can make a world of difference to our economy.

Heirloom Iron

To contact Heirloom Iron you can call them at 518-686-5285 or email them at audioham@taconic.net. Their main factory and studio is located on 30 County Route 59, Buskirk, NY 12028.  Ask for Cherie Giumarra.  They have an enormous collection of unique art and building supports that are manufacturer in Upstate NY. We will shortly have one of their pamphlets on this web site under their own tab.  The 15 point wishing tree has been selling well. They have received orders from Montreal and throughout the local community. They are looking for distributors locally and in New York City, Boston and Montreal.

Take a ride to Buskirk and view their art on display locally or call and see if you can have a tour of their new manufacturing facility.

 Current Update:

We have some stunning photographs of what they are doing and we will be highlighting them and their technology.

Right now if all the companies listed here become successful we will see between .5 to 1.5 Billion dollars in sales or more by their 3rd year of operation. This is broad brush stroke but it is very possible as they move forward.  We need to find gap financing for these companies to succeed.

We have one very exciting new company that is joining us.Pipesnapper makes a series of unique patented wrenches that can reduce the cost of pipe wielding by 50%.  We will have a page on them shortly.

We have added a Venture Capital Crash Course slide presentation from Jason Mendelson of Boulder Colorado. He has great humor and clarity in his slides.  You can hit a pause button if you wish to read the slide more thoroughly or if you miss it, the slide will be back. You will find it on the tab marked, What Makes VCs Tick.  Enjoy!

We have over 100 pages of data and other internet links that may help you with your startup company. Look around and you will continuous see changes on many of the pages here.

Pelorurs International Leasing Calculator is listed below and it helps a startup company look at cash flow and compare purchasing to leasing. Certainly other companies can use it for comparative purposes. The following link takes you to a real neat calculator.

http://www.ownyourventure.com/. Launch the Equity Simulator and it gives you detailed information in taking the confusion out of raising angel or venture money. You input your own data and it helps you to see how your data works out for your new company.

We were very pleased to participate in Global Entreprenurship Week.  We expect to do a full roll out in 2009 for Upstate NY with this international group as we search for entrepreneurs.

We are starting to forecast new jobs that, we believe, will be possible within the next few years. The jobs will be forecast by company and county. In most cases, but not all, CBBIC will have a part to play in helping these companies become successful.  In each case the companies are in an initial start-up and may be seeking GAP financing or partners that have shared interests. These companies have committed to hiring, the qualified unemployed, the under employed, the veteran and the permanent local citizens of Upstate NY. In some cases some companies will have employees in several or many counties depending upon how the final role out of their products is decided.

Thermalsonics Technology Group (TTG) job forecast – 2 to 3 years out 60 to 100 employees if manufacturers are interested in perfecting both technologies. Logical county for this technology is Monroe County. TTG feels that their technology can save up of 30% of a vehicle's fuel consumption.  To contact go to: More Information

Thermalsonics Technology Group (TTG) is organized to hold, manage and commercialize the core technologies. TTG has a core group of 13 patents and CBBIC is trying to facilitate TTG into moving the manufacturing, assembling and marketing of two of the patents to Monroe County.

TTG, control systems for engines-cooling, emissions & efficiency.  A patented (U.S. Pat. No 4,912,927) exhaust control system for assisting in discharging exhaust gases to control exhaust noise and increase engine performance by reducing back-pressure, lowering exhaust resistance, providing regenerative cooling rapidly lowering the temperature of exhaust gases for all (land, sea, and air) air breathing fuel combusting exhaust expelling engines and for superheated steam or other thermodynamic plant including nuclear reactors. This metallic assembly controls, reduces and/or eliminates unwanted exhaust, noise, heat and pollutants.

Thermodynamic, Smokestack Control-Air Cooling, Pollution/Emissions Control

A smokestack insert configuration for temperature and emission control. Superheated steam and hot particulates that makeup the plume are radically reduced and in many uses eliminates the stack plume altogether. The unique patented (U.S. Pat No. 4,912,927) hollow blade exchanger permit smoke stacks of only three to twenty feet high.

Here are two types of commerce that we are reviewing. The first is a unique iron art work of a didjeridu holder created by a local artist and the second is human jaw bone that has been duplicated and can have multiple purposes for dental implants and other medical uses.
